About

1471771_10152009923593050_1443228689_nSoccer, or I guess football now that I’m living somewhere other than the United States, has been my whole life, something I’m sure all athletes can say growing up.  It eventually took me to college, where I earned my degree and created some of the most important relationships I have today.  But what happens when your dreams to go professional don’t come true?  What happens to those players that don’t make it into the limelight and sign big money contracts?  As I move further away from being known as just a footballer, life has thrown me some interesting curve balls that being a college athlete simply hasn’t prepared me for.  But even though my playing career may be coming to an end, it’d be silly to neglect how much the game has done for me and the opportunities its brought into my life. Currently living and studying my masters in public relations and strategic communications in Leeds, UK, I hope to offer some insight on what it’s like jumping into the real world after devoting your entire life to athletics, as well as share some stories about some of the incredible experiences I’ve had as a result of the beautiful game.
